Brownie smile swap
Materials
-Denim pants that have hole in seat or knee and need to be repurposed
-Smiley face punches (or those filler things you put in cards)
-Safety pin
-Fabric glue
Optional: Sewing machine
Optional: Business card with Brownie Smile Song lyrics printed on it.
DIRECTIONS:
Cut the denim into rectangles, discarding the seams and the zipper. Cut small "pocket" shapes (2) approximately 1.5" high by 1" wide. Using fabric glue, run small bead on the outer edge. Allow to dry. Punch out smiley faces from yellow cardstock or craft foam. Attach smiley face to pocket. Write your troop number somewhere.
You could also add the Brownie Smile Song lyrics.
I have something in my pocket
That belongs across my face.
I keep it very close to me,
In a most convenient place.
I bet you'll never guess it
If you guess a long long while,
So I'll take it out and put it on.
It's a great big Brownie smile!
