Cookies
The holy grail of Girl Scout funding. Generating 656 million dollars in revenue annually, 175 million boxes of Girl Scout cookies are sold every year. Cookie money is the main source of income for many troops across the United States. Therefore, one of the most important parts of fundraising for girls is selling a whole lot of cookies.

Cookie Booths
One really great way to sell a whole lot of cookies. Set up in front of your local supermarket (you may need permission) between the hours of "work ends" and "suppertime", during which time may people may stop by the store and pick up ingredients for dinner. Saturday morning is also a great time to set up a booth at the local shopping center or at your town commons. If you live in a town where many people commute, the train station during rush hour may also be a good idea. Wear your Girl Scout sash/vest, and check your local council to see if you can borrow a costume. Nothing says Girl Scout Cookies like someone jumping around, dressed as a samoa. Try this at your local bank, sports event, or university. At a yard sale or any community function. Set a goal and work towards it.
