Younger girls
We know that fundraising with young girls can be hard. Here are some simple suggestions of how you can raise more money with your Troop. You should set a goal for your girls so they are motivated to fundraise. For example, if it costs $20 to go to the movies for each girl (to buy a ticket and a snack), encourage each girl to sell enough cookies (preferably a set number) so that the expenses are covered.
Cookie booth
This is a fun and easy way to raise money for your troop. All you need is a table! You can set up a booth anywhere--a grocery store, a train station, sports fields, places of worship, town parks, malls, etc.
qsp nut
Encourage your girls to tell their relatives about subscriptions to magazines--and renewals-- and nut sales.
car wash (cookie booth spin)
Go to your local car wash and set up an agreement--offer them free advertising in exchange for a dollar per car donation to your troop! Tell all your friends and neighbors to come to the car wash on that specific day and generate more donations for your troop. Set up a cookie booth in the waiting area for even more profits.
dumpster day
Contact your local carting company and see if they'll donate a walk-in dumpster for a day. Find a location to set the dumpster up--mall, school, parking lot, etc. Make a flyer to post on bulletin boards and advertise to all of your friends and family. You can charge for people to come dump their old stuff. Consider charging $20 per car and $40 for a truck or SUV.
Yard sale
It's easy! Ask your girls to gather up some old stuff to sell. Also a great opportunity to set up a cookie booth!
ICE SKATING FOR GIRL SCOUT COMMUNITY
Rent a rink for the night and invite your community. Charge $5 per girl for entry.
