let's get outdoors!
Overnight Camping Trip: Go to a local Girl scout camp. The staff guarantees an amazing night full of activities including singing along the campfire, telling ghost stories, hiking, roasting marshmallows and creating lasting friendships with other brownies! Recommended you and your troop stay no more than one night in case of home sickness.
-How to plan a camping trip in cabins: Choose a date for your camping trip specifically in the late spring and check to make sure there will be no rain. Create a packing list and send them to all of your girls. Create an itinerary of what times you plan to do each activity. For example if you arrive at camp by 2 PM then expect your troop to clean the cabins and assign who is in each cabin before the girls run around screaming. Separate your troop in two: One group may clean the bathrooms and the other may wash the floors. Have each of these groups assigned roles after and before meals (cooking & setting the table/cleaning the table and washing dishes). Also the next morning keep in mind while packing away your belonging, "Leave the place cleaner than when you arrived". After you plan for cleaning, plan the activities your troop would like to do and when. For example after you clean the cabins from arriving you may choose to do hiking and survival activities. After the tiring activities plan to do some water activities such as canoeing and kayaking. Then allow time for your troop to take showers and get ready for dinner. Branch the two cleaning groups and demonstrate how to cook simple food for your girls such as vegetables and pasta. The other group can take this time to relax and bond. Then after dinner demonstrate the correct way to clean dishes.

9:30- Return to school- This is the pickup time. We all have commitments this day and must be home early.
